Hosted in a sub-Saharan African research or policy institution
Organized in partnership with LSHTM or other recognized collaborators
You may apply for both components or just one — the full fellowship (MSc + internship) or partial (MSc or internship only).
Academic Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the LSHTM COMPASS Fellowship 2025, applicants must:
Be a citizen of a sub-Saharan African country
Hold a first or second-class honours degree or a technical/professional qualification with 3+ years of experience
Be employed by a local African organization for at least 12 months
Be actively working in public health fields like:
Maternal and child health
HIV, TB, malaria
Emerging infections
Diarrhoeal diseases
Climate and infectious disease
AMR and NCD comorbidities
Candidates must also meet LSHTM’s academic requirements for distance learning programs.
