Atlantic Technological University (ATU) is currently inviting applications for its highly competitive Sports Scholarship Programme for the 2025/2026 academic year. About Atlantic Technological University (ATU)
Founded in 2022 from the amalgamation of Galway-Mayo IT, IT Slago, and Letterkenny IT, ATU has a presence across several campuses in the west and northwest of Ireland. Offering a wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, ATU has a student-focused environment that promotes academic and athletic excellence.
The university provides a wide array of programs, with over 600 academic programs at pre-degree to doctoral levels. The programs are offered in various areas of study, such as business, science and health, engineering and technology, and creative arts and education. It has a multi-campus student body of about 26,000 students in Ireland. Out of these, about 1,397 are international students from over 93 countries.

Types of Scholarships
Pre-Entry Sports Scholarships:

Engage in a sport approved by a Sport Ireland.
Available to compete for the university within their chosen sport.
Demonstrated high achievement in their chosen sport within the last two years.
Ability to compete at Provincial, National, or International level.
Post-Entry Applicants:
Eligible for academic progression (e.g., from year 1 to year 2).
Pursuing a full-time course at any ATU campus.
Participating in a sport recognized by Sport Ireland.
Have competed for the university within their chosen sport.
Demonstrated high achievement in their chosen sport within the last year.
Ability to compete at Provincial, National, or International level.
