Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Phyllis Arnott Equity Scholarship, applicants must:
Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen living in NSW.
Be studying one of the following Creative Arts courses at TAFE NSW Hornsby:
Certificate III in Design Fundamentals/Ceramics (CUA30720)
Diploma of Ceramics (CUA51220)
Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts/Ceramics Focus (CUA60720)
Demonstrate financial disadvantage or educational disadvantage.
Demonstrate a strong desire to finish the course and seek employment.
Other Eligibility Categories
Applicants must identify with one or more of the following:
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background
Living with a disability, impairment, or long-term medical condition
Long-term unemployed (more than 6 months)
Receiving Centrelink or experiencing low socio-economic disadvantage
Youth at risk
Experiencing or having experienced domestic or family violence
At risk of or experiencing homelessness
Living in the country or outer metropolitan areas of NSW
Important Points
Under 18 students need to get parent/guardian consent.
Not available to international students.
Not available to TAFE NSW staff.
