Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Faculty of Arts Graduate Coursework Conference Grants, applicants must:
✔ Be domestic or international students enrolled in a graduate coursework program at GSHSS.
✔ Have completed at least 37.5 points and one semester of study in GSHSS (Advanced Standing does not contribute).
✔ Receive an invitation to attend or present at an academic conference.
✔ Obtain written confirmation from their course coordinator verifying the conference’s relevance to their degree.
✔ Agree to report their conference outcomes to their academic school after attending.
✔ Submit receipts for approved expenses, including:
📌 Conference registration fees
📌 Airfares (economy return flights or equivalent overland transport)
📌 Accommodation during the conference (excluding personal stays)
✔ Ensure travel aligns with DFAT safety advice for overseas destinations.
✔ Submit a complete application with all required documents.
Funding Benefits
📌 Up to $500 for local conferences
📌 Up to $1,000 for interstate conferences
📌 Up to $2,000 for international conferences
📌 Covers a percentage of conference registration, travel, and accommodation costs
