Teagasc Walsh MSc Scholarships 2025 – Apply for a Fully Funded Agricultural Research Opportunity

Teagasc, in collaboration with Wageningen University & Research (WUR) and ZALF (Germany), invites applications for an esteemed Teagasc Walsh MSc Scholarships 2025. This is under the auspices of high-impact agriRDM project on open science, behavioural insights, and agricultural data management.

Program Overview

This scholarship funds a full-time MSc study in agricultural science, behavioral science, psychology, or sociology. The scholar chosen will work among premier research organizations in Ireland, Germany, and the Netherlands.

The hosting institution, Teagasc, is Ireland’s national agency for agricultural and food development. Primary objective of the program is to assist farmers and food producers using scientific expertise. Teagasc has state-of-the-art research facilities, well-trained personnel, and wide fieldwork opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

– Possess a first-class or upper second-class honors degree (or equivalent)
– Be from an agricultural science, psychology, sociology, or related behavioral sciences background
– Be proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
– Exhibit the ability to design surveys, conduct interviews, and engage with stakeholders
– Have effective communication and interpersonal skills
– Have the ability to work independently and as part of interdisciplinary, diverse teams
– Express interest in agri-food systems, open science, and data management
– Have fluency in English (speaking and writing)
