Bowling Green State University (BGSU) Travel Grants, USA – Funded Opportunity for Undergraduate Students
Bowling Green State University (BGSU) is providing Travel Grants to assist full-time undergraduate students, including international students, who are presenting research, creative output, or scholarly accomplishments at professional conferences, competitions, juried exhibitions, or performances. With a maximum funding up to $200, the grant is intended to assist students in achieving their exposure, networking, and sharing their academic or artistic efforts in high-level environments outside of the classroom.
This program is aim to BGSU’s solid commitment to student success, research excellence, and global engagement. These travel grants support students to attend conferences in the United States or, in exceptional instances may cover abroad essential travel expenses like transportation, accommodation, and registration.

Eligibility Criteria:
- In order to be eligible for the BGSU Travel Grant, applicants must:
- Be an enrolled full-time undergraduate student at BGSU.
- Engaged actively in presenting research (poster, paper, or performance) at a known event.
- Formally registered for the conference, exhibition, or competition.
- Have a faculty mentor that can attest to the value of their participation.
- Provide evidence of event acceptance and supporting paperwork.
- Note: Students are eligible for only one grant per year.
- Preferential use is given to domestic (U.S.) travel, but international opportunities will be considered on review.
Application Process:
Students can submit online applications through the Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (CURS) website. Supporting documents are:
Event acceptance or invitation letter
Letter(s) of recommendation from faculty mentor(s)
Event and mentor information
Applications should be made at least four weeks in advance of the event, and funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Within 30 days of travel, students need to email the following to Dr. Cordula Mora, CURS Director:
Event program (cover page and participant list)
Conference registration fee receipt
All applicable travel and accommodation receipts
Matching bank or card statements for proof of payment
